More like a solid clean 1.5 watts assuming the screens are tied to the plates. My favorite sounding beam tetrode.

Yeah, I like it a lot too ever since that VM integrated I had years ago. 1.5 watts would be perfect for my setup. Ihave some SE 6AQ5 OTs from some old tape recorders. I assume they would work in triode mode?

Yes, the Akai M7, etc. outputs are decent.

I have designed a DC two stage using the 6AQ5 triode connected, was suggested to me by Dennis Fraker .
