I picked up an amplifier the other day and I'm looking for a schematic to figure out where the inputs are and such and to see if it will require FC drivers. The nameplate reads No. 50141 and type AO-2632-1. It appears to use two 56 driver tubes but only one is marked "56". The four outputs are 2A3's and then a mercury rectifier. It kind of looks like it's stereo to me but that's why I'd like to find a schematic and know for sure. I tried to google the numbers without success so any help would be much apreiciated.
TIA,
John

It's rare to see parallel tubes in SE, especially older amps. I have no idea what you are looking at. I'd guess a stereo PP.

This is a webster amp, designed to drive a field coil speaker, not hi-fi speakers. However, the rectifiers don't fit your description.

Why not show us some photos?

I looked again and it is a 5Z3 rectifier. I'll try to get some photos posted but it's a little hassle as I need access to my office computer. And looking at the schematic Freihed89 posted, and thank you very much for that, it appears to be a mono amp designed to use two different drivers so maybe it's out of an organ(?).
THanks for all the help.
RJ

Found some picture that are not mine but...
These amps seemed to have had the rectifier changer out to 5U4 allong with some other mods.
20 watts!
Of course the likelyhood of ever finding another is about zero so this will just go on the shelf until I find someone with a CX-20 tone cabinet that wants a spare

I have a pair of those in my shop system and they sound great.

They were built to power field coil speakers. You can get around that by using a 250 Ohm / 20Watt resistor in place of the field coil.

The screw terminals on the side are speaker outputs. They are spaced perfectly for dual 5-way binding posts.

They also require a phase splitter because they have balanced inputs. I used Altec 15095 transformers to provice balanced input from unbalanced sources, and also a little voltage gain. I mounted the transformers in Aluminum boxes with 5-pin plugs installed so they can plug into the inputs of the amps.

Hello -
Not sure if you still have these, however I am thinking of picking up a pair. Would you have a schematic of the changes you made to adopt standard speakers. Is the output tap 8 or 16 ohm? I am just starting to look around for information.
Thanks for your help.
cheers,
Chris
