At the end of 1991, with grunge and rap beating everyone over the head, people needed a respite, a break. With the Diane Warren-penned "Set The Night To Music," we got it. It originally appeared in 1987, by Starship. But this time around, it was a duet by Roberta Flack and Maxi Priest. During the holidays 1991, "Set The Night To Music" was a ubiquitous dance and winterball theme. You couldn't escape :-) It did not matter, if you had a boyfriend/girlfriend, date, or friends; if you were at a dance, "Set The Night To Music" got you to dance with whoever was next to you. Hard to believe that that was 25 years ago. Nowadays, we're all parents, and when the kids are off, and "Set The Night To Music" plays, we parents all sway and slow dance with each other. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for us audiophiles, when "Set The Night To Music" faded, and the calendar turned to 1992, it seemed that each month, there was another published review of a cable and/or DAC.
