For some reason I always think it's the 8th instead of the 9th.

Actually I know why that is, and it's not good.

It's Sean's birthday too, which I always thought must have made John very happy.

I agree with you that it would have been great to see what he would have come up with in his later years, which seemed the happiest of his life. He and McCartney were talking again, so there's no reason to believe that he wouldn't have participated in the Anthology get together, and damn, wouldn't that have been something?
