I have purchased quite a few good records lately and find I am listening to them over and over. That doesn't happen very often and vertainly not with this many.

For your consideration:
PARQUET COURTS - Human Performance They really have taken a leap with this one. I like the earlier ones but this one shows they have staying power and are determined to get better and better. They can sound like many of my favorite bands at various times. There is some PAVEMENT, Wire, even a nod to the classic first THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS album (their best in my opinion before they got self-consciously arty). It is like one of my favorite bands put out a new record that was as good as their early material. If that makes any sense, but that is how much I love this record.

Bill Ryder-Jones - West Kirby County Primary - He was in a band I never heard THE CORAL. Saw the write up in NME and the writer was so impressed it got me to buy the record. Tuneful and interesting. Vocals can almost be too intimate at times but that is what was intended. Goes from folkish to Blur-esque guitar symphonies.

Kevin Morby - Singing Saw - I think I posted this one and for some reason it seemed to disappear. The fellow's Lou Reed and Dylan references are not subtle but since a little unlikely and well done you get the idea they were always closer than you would have thought.

CAR SEAT HEADREST - Teens of Style - Ridiculous name but this guy has Brian Wilsonesque arranging abilities and a great sense of melody. Unfortunately, the vocals are recorded in exaggerated DIY style which means they are purposely bad. Much of the backing was recorded after the vocals and are fairly "clean". Maybe easier to listen to in the car for some. This fellow has a future in music. New album out this month and I hope he decided to record his voice better. Not as if he has a bad voice. Maybe he is one of those reverse snobs who thinks his voice is too good?

I recently streamed both Parquet Courts and Car Seat Headrest and agree with your assessment. I'll have to give the other two a try.

Thanks. Always want to know about good new music. I'm listening to Parquet Courts now and like it.
