So after my physical therapy today I got back in my room and flipping channels found an episode of Mannix from 1967. It was season one episode seven entitled Wild Blueberries.

In a couple of scenes Joe Mannix goes into a club and who is playing? Buffalo Springfield! They were playing For What its Worth! It also seemed a little different than the studio version so it may have been recorded on the shows set. Wiki says so on their page there but only mentions Bluebird being played.

I went to Youtube and found the linked clip below where they play Bluebird so I guess there were a couple of scenes in the episode shot at the club. I definitely saw For What its Worth too.

Pretty cool. Looks like you can watch that Mannix episode online too for all those that want to take this "trip" back in time.

Lalo Schifrin and the Buffalo Springfield! I always enjoyed watching Mannix and that's probably a big part of it. Peggy was cool to. You didn't see many like her on the tube.

Thanks for that.

Still spinnin'...

Reminds me of some of the performances on Hefner's old show Playboy after dark.

Pretty big coup, to get group to play background. I believe that they were already big on Sunset Strip scene, at the time (1967).

Remember Mannix very well. In 1970 my two year old daughter used to watch it with me. She talks about it often! Thanks for old memories.
