I have seen several of these guys on their own (in addition to Santana with McLaughlin during their "Love, Devotion, Surrender" Tour) and they were cream o' the crop! Putting them together should result in a "MUST-SEE" band. Now I gotta find out if they plan on touring somewhere nearby Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm Beach. Probably not, but you can bet we'll be treated to vapid performers like Taylor Swift, et al.

Lord, what the Hell happened to the music industry and the record buying public?! Does NO ONE (except moi, of course [g]) give a shit about true artistry and musicianship anymore?

WAITAMINNIT!! I just finished the article and it also seems that Carlos is gonna virtually re-construct the early 70s Santana band - WOW, WOW, WOW!! I saw this lineup several times from 1971 thru 1975 and each and every one of those concerts imparted very cherished memories.

Be still, my beating heart!!

though I did see a "Swing of Delight" show that was only so-so, those are some of my favorite musicians and it should be grand. When they are on - in their various pursuits - it can be revelatory.

BTW: a friend of mine made that cool shirt for Santana.

Most of these kind of groups are nothing to get excited about but I think this one might be pretty darn good with the potential to being spectacular.

All these guys are proven "team players" when it comes to successful world class collaborations.
