Quite a unique skill he had with this set up. Very atmospheric.

Yes, saw him at Lancaster Uni on the same tour, One World tour.

Drove up from Fleetwood, yes the one with the Mullard factory, in my new Ford Capri with the fake fur interior...it was the seventies. Took my brother and mates along. Stopped at the service station that looked like it was from Fireball XL5 on the way.

John was superb. Joking, smoking, drinking and invited audience onto the stage to sit around him. The sound was a quad setup if I remember as it had speakers at the rear. Never seen that done before or since.

What an album, probably my favourite JM album, even better than Solid Air.

Thanks for bringing back such great memories.
