they also have the CD layers, which I am thankful for. Any overall impression on how the sound of these has held up? I don't know if they have been remastered again or not. I know they have been put out on CD again.

iBasso DX300MAX Ti. Focal Utopia and Stellia. iBasso SR2. Mr. Speakers, Ether II, Voce stats. Manley, Absolute headphone amp. LTA MZ3, Z10e electrostatic amp. Many other headphones, amps, cables etc.

This is a great set and real testament as to what the SACD format can do!

The 12x5 SACD, at realistic volume levels- pure Stones magic. You are there at Chess records.

Agreed. I was using an Accuphase SACD player at the time and the Stones discs sounded better than any vinyl I had access to.

Which SACD player are you using now?

Yeah, how can you move up from Accuphase? I had all Acc electronics and rue the day I "moved on." nt, posted on November 19, 2014 at 09:35:56

I have always wanted to audition Accuphase gear, especially, the CD/SACD players. From everything I have ever read, there is nothing better.

We had the Accuphase 100/101 combination. It was glorious. I had occasion to hear many competing brands, both at shows at at length and never heard better.
After twelve years in business, the store succumbed to the economic disaster of 2008.
My current cd source (I don't have SACD) is a Lector .5. I'll be happy to get back into Accuphase if and when my fortunes improve.
