Finally got around to watching this documentary and it is fantastic. Part history lesson, part music nostalgia and very engaging. Who knew all that soul came from some down home white boys. Very uplifting. Highly recommended.

Have you forgotten Stax Records, founded by Jim Stewart and Estelle Axton, both white and their house band Markeys, later became Booker T and the MGs ?

You're right of course, and I have seen the Respect Yourself documentary about Stax and enjoyed it for similar reasons.
