the passing of a legend, his voice and bass are part of my musical mind...

Underrated singer, obviously superb bass player. Sad to read he's curdled. nt, posted on October 25, 2014 at 09:52:55

Just home from work and learned of this via an email from a friend.Had the pleasure of seeing Jack Bruce once at the Psychedelic Supermarket , Kenmore Square , Boston in early September 1967. Of course this was actually Cream.

For anyone my age interested in Rock, he was one of the greats.

A sad day indeed. Also remember he was a great harmonica player. "Traintime, baby Traintime's almost here"........it don't get much better than that, my friends.

I think his voice was as least as good as his playing which is me making a compliment. I will miss him.

As good as Cream's output was, I'm finding that in some cases I prefer Jack's remakes of Cream songs on his solo outings ... We're Going Wrong, White Room, Sunshine of Your Love, I Feel Fine, Politician, etc.

Really new perspectives and well done. Check them out.

Jack Bruce was a giant and took bass to a new level which most bass players today don't even realize. His vocals were very much appreciated among the blues greats.I first saw Cream at the Electric Factory in Philly. Jack played an awesome harp to Rollin' and Tumblin'. Clapton was god that night too his body not moving an inch.

Well, Ginger does quietly roll his snare and tap the kick drum a few times. And this was live! Sometimes this plays in my head all day.

Byyyeee bye babe, indeed.
