HHi Larry,
I really like the way they galloped through the song. It is catchy and the lead singer reminds me of Judy Durham (?)and The Seekers. On first impression, the I thought of the New Christy Minstrels. I also read the hyper link analysis/critique and listened to the songs. I just don't agree with his choices. But, hey, that's music. Thanks for the song.

oLarry, check out this video of The Seekers (1968). Granted, they were a small ensemble, but compare - especiallly Judy Durham - to The Hillsiders. I know that I am moving briskly toward the arcane, but what the hell. Finally, how do I post a music video from YouTube to the forum? and

I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that comparison, posted on September 14, 2014 at 09:23:06

and I am not surprised that it was you. I have a Seekers 4CD box set....
To post the video.
At Youtube, click the SHARE option then click the EMBED option, make sure that you enable the USE OLD EMBED CODE.
Then copy the link that appeared and just paste it in the message body here at Rock.
Give it a try and if you have a problem, email me and we can go thru it on the phone.

Thanks, Larry. Your generosity does not surprise me. Next posting, I will give your instructions a 'go'. I understand all, up to the point where you mention "enable use old embed code". Where and how is this instruction implemented on YouTube?. Thanks, again, from the safe haven of Jamaica Plain ( a Boston neighborhood).

It appears beneath the code when you enable EMBED. The following becomes visible at that point. Once you select USE OLD EMBED CODE Youtube will remember that for you and you need not select it again.
