Here is an interesting sight that lists all the places Jerry Garcia played, recorded, interviewed etc. In doing so it gives you the history of a lot of forgotten and legendary venues and then lists the dates Jerry was there. I'm not much of a fan of the Dead or Garcia but I found the history and descriptions of the venues very interesting, look up Keystone Korner for example. Anyway I hope you enjoy it.

Lots to see and recollect there. This page really got my attention as it was the time frame that I watched and knew JG as he went from banjo bluegrass dude to Warlocks to GD. The Poppycock was a great venue, I have some stories about that place, perhaps for another time

One that they missed, I think, was the Pescadero IDES hall where they played...see poster...And they missed my front room in Loma Mar about 2 months after the bike race event.
Then later after I bought the house in La Honda JG and Marmaduke (john Dawson) used to come up to the cabin and play and write music, they liked my Altec Voice of the Theater speakers!! John's GF Beth lived on my land in a huge TeePee.
Anyway, thanks for a great resource...
Seeing my old friend mentioned Steve Lambrecht (Zonker) and my old friend as well as my attorney, Paul Roberson made me feel good too....

I thought you would like it even with out the Garcia reference. I looked up the Inn of the Beginning in Cotati because that was my stomping grounds. We were under age but with some pleading and promising that we would not drink they would stamp our wrists instead of the back o our hands and let us in but of course we would bring a pint of 151 to spike our Cokes with. Could you imagine that happening now? Things were a lot looser back then, I saw a lot of great bands there IIRC.
