CARA software

Just a note to say I've been using the CARA software for a week and it may be the best investment, cost/benefit wise, I've made in my system. The learning curve is a bit steep, but it's actually a very straightforward program. My only complaint is the small number of loudspeaker designs already modeled. I tried "creating" a model for my Meadowlark speakers, but the predicted placement sounded terrible. By simply substituting an existing model closest in design, I got a vastly better sounding configuration. Also, by weighting "frequency" a "10" and "listener" kept at the default (2), the resulting calculations optimized "frequency" FAR better. Has anyone else noticed this? Best, jb |
