I currently have an amp( I know how to power it) it is a car stereo amp. I m trying to hook up a car subwoofer to my receiver. I hooked the L+ and the R- to the subwoofer on the bridge and hooked the high input to the hifis on the reciever. But all that comes out is little bass and lyrics. I want the subwoofer strictly for bass so it gets a lot of power. any ideas? Also does anyone have any extra car audio stuff?? (subwoofers, amps, etc!) I need stuff for my car!!!!

Thanks

Your topic is probably better addressed in some other areas of audio asylum--rather than room acoustics, but here's a few things to keep in mind. R- is probably exactly the same as L- they are just tied to neutral. You are just playing the Left signal. You need a subwoofer crossover that takes in 2 inputs, sums them, and then has one output for your amp. The other thing is that the amp you are using (car stereo) may not have much bass response unless it was designed as a subwoofer amplifier. There are some inexpensive subwoofer amps on the market, you might have better luck with them.
