Want to know if this can work? In my main listening room I have a Mac mini running my Roon core and sending audio to my Auralic Aries. Auralic Aries to my dac via usb. I use my iPad as remote with Roon.
Question-can plug headphones into iPad and play audio from Roon with main computer in listening room powered up and iPad and Mac mini on same network? If so how? Basically can the iPad be the endpoint/zone in the same way the Aries is-basically want my I pad to steam Roon so I can plug my headphones in and listen in another room?
Thanks and best in listening!

...You CAN share your music library from your Mac Mini to your iPad and play it back on your iPad. Not with Roon.

Maybe you already know this but it can be done with iTunes on the Mac Mini and the Music App on the iPad....

- You have to launch iTunes on the Mac Mini. Enable Home Sharing in iTunes.

- You have to go to Settings on the iPad and turn ON Home Sharing for the Music App logging in with your Apple ID.

Launch the Music app on the iPad. Tap the top center of the screen to bring up the pull-down menu where you choose Artists, Albums, Songs, Music Videos, Genres, Composers, Home Sharing. Tap on Home Sharing and choose the music library that resides on your Mac Mini.

That music library can now be played from the Mac Mini on your iPad.

The link below describes it better than I can. Go to the section for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Thanks Abe-for some reason I thought that was part of Roon-where you can play to different zones-I guess i misunderstood-guess I would need another endpoint or something-not sur
