Thanks! I'm interested in the $2000 model, but it only weighs one pound or so.
The more expensive one may have features I don't need, I don't know.
Did you hear it at home, or a dealer/show?

Did either of you try on the fly DSD 256 Conversion of DSD and PCM Files?, posted on June 24, 2015 at 15:18:03

I'm very interested in that feature.
So far , my favorite format is DSD128, whether on the fly with new
Korg Audiogate/DS Dac 100 Software/Drivers for Mac Yosemite,
or Audirvana+ with DSD 128 Converted with the Korg Software.
I'm so happy to have the Korg working, there were problems with break up and distortion which have just been solved.
I read a good review of Mytek Manhattan, but the output is 5 Volts, I have the DSD/192 Dac, and have to use either my Marantz Amp Vol Trim at Max, or internal Jumpers on the Mytek, plus Vol Trim on the Mytek.
Just gets too loud and bright too soon on the volume control, with attenuation I get much more midrange and bass before treble gets agressive.
I think I will be happier with the 2 Volt Output of the Exasound.
I don't need the Vol Trim when using the Korg, or Marantz UD 7007 Uni Player, which is matched to the input sensitivity of the Amp.
TIA for any additional info!

I'm using JRiver 20. I set it to up convert everything to DSD 2x and then 4x. I tried a 44/16, 96/24 and single rate DSD. All worked.

Yes, I liked it too, and wrote a review a month ago too. I reviewed the e28 and e20 earlier.

When using the e12 I currently upconvert everything in HQPlayer to DSD256 (and convolve in DSD too).
