I have had both software programs for a few days now on the free trial, and so far, I must say that in my system, the Pure Music sounds quite a bit better overall - a significant difference in imaging and bigger soundstage being the biggest differences. I am also having some issues with the library part of Audirvana. I'm still experimenting with both, but it looks like I will definitely be purchasing the Pure Music software.

Tried the free trial of PureMusic. Worked well but ended up not hearing THAT much improvement, albeit some, on the very few downloads of music I have on my computer.

That's compared to freeware VLC not Audirvana.

IF I were to ever decide to load all of my thousands of CD's onto a multi-tereabite network drive, which I likely won't, I'd give PureMusic a go as I think it works as advertized and the free trial worked well.

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass

Yeah, I only have about 500-600 CDs, and do not have a network streaming set-up, so the Pure Music I think is the way to go for me. I think all the digital recordings I have will fit on one TB drive, including the regular backups....
