Trying to loop audio on a device with a mic/headphone all in one jack

Hi, On older systems there would be a separate dedicated port for microphone in and headphones/speaker out. On new systems they have both of these built into a single port. I could use a simple 3.5mm audio patch cable to link the mic to headset on my computer to stream my audio into my mic. Is there a device that does the same thing with the all-in-one jack? I assume that it is still possible...it just needs a specialized plug. Any idea what it might be called so I can look for a place to buy one?
