??USB external drive that will play cd layer of a hybrid SACD??

 So I bought a glorious new Toshiba laptop that does everything but slice bread. Only issue is the CD/DVD re-writable drive it came with (SU-208FB)refuses to play or upload my hybrid sacd's of which I have a TON!

Checked the driver and it's about 10 years old from Microsoft but cannot find a newer one. And from what I briefly researched, no DVD_RW drive can play hybrid sacd's. So now I am looking for a cheap usb external...

Problem there is I have windows 8. The ones I am finding are so old they won't work with Windows 8.

Can anyone recommend an external USB drive that will for sure play a hybrid SACD's cd layer that will also work with Windows 8?? Who knew life could be so difficult, lol... Thanks for any help!

 I know very little about computers; however, I have a Toshiba Satellite P775-57320 with Windows 7 and a core i7 processor. The optical disc drive will read and write CD-Rs as well as DVDs but it only will play Blu-Ray discs. I use Exact Audio Copy (EAC) to rip my CDs and it ripped the CD layer of a number of Hybrid SACDs without any problems. It seems strange yours won't do it.

 Thanks for the try John but no, the drive will not recognize hybrid sacd's even using EAC. It just says no disc is in the drive and to insert one. It will play cd-r's however which is weird. Because usually if it can do that, it can play hybrid sacd layers....
