Hi
i am using this X7 ... cute little thing indeed. I like its size and the fact that is fanless. The price is just unbelievable.
Anyway i have problem when surfing the net with ethernet connection.
The stream is not steady ... like hiccups (i am not an expert but the speed test does not run smoothly enough).
I wonder if it could be a driver issue.
I have downloaded a driver package but when i run the " wlan driver " i get a run time error.
So my questions for the people using it are:
1) is a wlan driver update really neeeded or it is just a problem of right setting maybe in the bios or somewhere else ?
2) where i can find a working driver ?
For the rest i like the unit a lot indeed.
For me it is a revolution.
If i will get the ethernet work ok i will buy other two ... at least.
Thanks a lot.
Kind regards,
bg

WLAN implies wireless connection and Ethernet implies wired connection. No? Are you having problems with wired or wireless connection?

From the start I never had difficulties with wlan or ethernet connections. I did not install driver package from Pipo. Any driver updates would have have been installed during Windows Update, which I have since disabled.

Hi and thanks for the kind reply
I have some problems with the wired connection. Wifi is working ok, not exciting but ok.
Instead when streaming from Youtube with wire the video is not flowing very well.
With another more powerful pc is ok instead.
Maybe there are also some bios settings to check ?
I am quite interested because i feel this thing is going to be my main pc for a while. It can stay in a little bag easily.
Thanks a lot again.
Kind regards,

Hi ! have you tried the front jack output ?
I am using it with the headphones and i find it not bad at all.
What is your take on this X7 ? have you tested it in your system ?
I had a look at it and it is excellent and i guess also extremely revealing
I would love to hear your opinion.
I have bought other 4 in the meantime. Too much handy unit.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,

I haven't tried the front jack.

As a stand-alone music player that feeds a DAC, sound quality is noticeably inferior to my current systems. I was not disappointed because I expected this.

I purchased the Pipo X7 to be a Server/PC that pushes music to the JRiver Id network player (renderer). Sound quality from this arrangement was much better.

Hi and thanks a lot and i suggest you to try the fron connection.
For me it has been a surprise.
I will try to add a more robust 1/4" on the front. I do not like at all mini jack connections.
But very possibly my system is not enough resolving.
Thanks a lot again.
