Every once in a while distortion starts to go through the roof. Music from hard drive sounds fine. Better if I reboot. ?WTF?

This has nothing to do with Spotify.

Probably something wrong with your network. Slow internet speed etc.

How are you playing Spotify? I use mine with a Squeezebox Touch, Triode Pluggin and a Teac UD-301 Dac... I never have had any problems with it.

Reboot your network router...couldn't hurt.

Sorry to go slightly off-topic. I just got a UD-301 and hooked it up to my Squeezebox Touch. I discovered that when I used a coaxial or optical connection, if a new track has a different frequency than the prior one (e.g. going from 44.1/16 to 96/24) the DAC has to adjust, and I lose a second or two of the music. I think I can avoid this by installing EDO on my Squeezebox and use the asynchronous USB connection.
