Assumed that it did. I wanted to try an external WD usb/eSATA not only for music but to store/play a few kiddie movies that we have for the Grandkids. Dang!

Has anybody found that there is a difference in SQ comparing USB (separate controller) and eSATA? Please tell me there isn't!!

I was really looking for the esata for porting movies to my TV. No experience, but I understand the speed makes a big difference.
