I downloaded a trial version of Audirvana's newest player along w/ the Library feature. It's pretty good but I'll wait awhile before I buy it. Problem is that the newest version replaced by previous version and I can't get back to using it. It won't let me, just prompts me to upgrade. I've uninstalled the Plus and reinstalled from Time Machine and it still won't let me use it but asks to be upgraded. Audirvana doesn't seem to have a means of directly contacting them. This is rather shitty on their part, offering a trial version only to disable the previous version if you don't want their new version!! Any help out there?

You have to delete Audirvana library files in OSX.

...but there is no previous program. Now it's all gone. The new trial version seemed to get rid of the previous one. I don't have my original license info. How do I find the previous version to use? Even restoring the old version from Time Machine will demand I upgrade and will not work!

I don't know if this helps you at all. I never installed the new version, don't think I will.

Hello,

Thank you for your intention to upgrade to Audirvana Plus 2.0. Your 1.x license order reference is 00000000. And the email used is xxxxxx@xxxxx.com

You can redownload the 1.5 program if needed at http://audirvana.com/delivery/AudirvanaPlus_1.5.12.6.dmg

Best regards,
Damien Plisson

The copy in Time Machine seems to have been changed to the new version also...how is this possible?

Because Time Machine makes an hourly backup of whatever is on your main disk. You might have to go back several weeks or months in Time Machine to find the older version. However, the better way is to just re-install the old version. See my post to further up this thread.

...after you responded. It is the old version on Time Machine, it just keeps doing the same thing. Will search Audirvana's site and see if they offer it still.

Download the previous version from the link I provided you. Email Audirvana at the email I provided if you don't have your previous license info. Give them the email address you used when you purchased their product and they should be able to retrieve you old license info as they did for me.

...I didn't see the bottom portion of your post. Downloading old version now...will see how it goes. Thanks!

Nope, still doesn't work. Will use the contact info you have in your post to contact Audirvana. (nt), posted on November 19, 2014 at 14:58:30

No prob. That email address was kinda buried at the end so I can see how easy it is to miss. Hoping you're able to install the old version and license it properly.

BTW, I kept a copy of the old version .dmg file on my local disk.... just in case I need it again and lose the download link.

Good luck.

All the old program was asking for was my old license file which I no longer had. Audirvana responded to my email and gave me my license. So..I'm the blockhead here not Audirvana.

What is it they say? Once you've ruined your reputation then you're truly free.

The main thing is you figured it out and got it fixed. And have fun!
