Finally bridged the gap between my computer and one of my stereo systems. Using a Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 and a 30 ft. cable. To say the least I'm extremely impressed how well much of my downloaded music sounds as well as my vinyl transfers. I also replaced the Logitech powered speakers on my desktop with a pair of Audio Engine 2+. And these seem perfect for a pair of desktop speakers. At $200 for the speakers and $340 for the DAC + BJC Belden 1694 digital cables I'm pleased a punch. This is one of the biggest bang for the buck deals I've ever made with my stereo. Anyways thanks for all the responses to my post from a month or so ago when I was trying to sort it all out.
