Bit unclear to me. If you use the Oppo as a USB DAC all JRiver DSP can be applied. If you use the Oppo as a DLNA renderer, pulling the music from a server e.g. JRiver then you bypass the audio options of JRiver The Well Tempered Computer |

Looking at your screen shots: DirectStream is over USB, hence all JRiver DSP options are available. Oppo BDP105 is the connection over DLNA. You can play to the DLNA device but no DSP options are available. This is by design. JRiver is thinking about implementing the audio options even in case of DLNA renderer. Looking at the first 2 screen shots. You select Zone Oppo You can't configure the audio options, it points you to the Media network. There you can configure the DLNA properties. This I do think "normal", you can't configure the Audio options in case of DLNA If you select Zone DirectStream you can configure both Audio and Medianetwork. This is a bit strange. The only explanation I can conjecture up is that both the DLNA and the USB driver of the PS Audio use the same name. What is missing is a connection to the Oppo over the USB, that is the one where you can configure the audio options. If you create a new zone e.g. Oppo USB > Playback options > Audio device; you should be able to sect the USB driver for the Oppo You might try http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/ The Well Tempered Computer |
