I have been using Sony DVD Architect for quite a while and for myself and another Hoffman Forum member is has stopped working properly in our Win 7/64 bit machines. Sony has put some time on this issue with no fix in sight for the time being.

Does anyone here have success with some other DVD burning program that allows buring 2496 wav files as disc compilations? AudioDVDcreator does not download properly, but I had good success with it in my old XP machines.

AudioDVDMaker goes through the burn process, but the disc is blank and so I am glad I didn't ante for buying the program.

Maybe some here here knows of another program. No, I am not buying a MAC.

I try to avoid burning "coasters" to the extent possible. I play music files out of my computer.

I play music from a USB flash drive in an Oppo BDP-105D. It seems like the Oppo BDP-105D is less hassle than a computer music server since my audio and video systems integrated anyway.

Best regards,

Is it DVDA or CVDV audio you are on about.

If it is DVDA this may help

I have given up disc burning unless I have to.

Sony DVD Architect has been a great program for my buring of my 2496 concert recordings until the last Win 7 updates over the last 2 months has changed some parameters that has incapacitated it. It puts click between tracks and some even have bursts of white noise that goes from the left channel to the right, then right back to the left and then plays the next track. This is a new thing and I am not the only DVD Architect customer who is now hving these issues.

Tried uninstalling the updates? Or revert to an earlier image/W7 version?

Some software vendors are a pain and I now always keep an earlier image of my OS.

For some reason I now cannot replace the Favorites Folder in W8.1 and have correct save function from the browser.

Darkmass off the Hoffman audio forum discovered the cirlinca.com DVD software that works great for burning 2496 wav files dics as DVD-V disc that will play in any player and it works great. $45. He did a great deal of work on the Sony software issue and gave it up like me. Very knowledgeable person. His work now has us both burning 2496 discs on our Windows platforms again.

Try Lplex: "Create lossless "audio-only" dvd-video discs from wav or flac audio files" ( http://audioplex.sourceforge.net/ ) There 64bit version. You can burn the ISO image created (DVD5) with your favorite software.

Cirlinca HD-Solo will burn DVD-A's. Minnetonka DiscWeilder will burn either DVD-A or DVD-V (at a fairly high price).

DVD-Audiofile a simple free program for creating ISO files from WAV files that can then be burnt to a dvd R disc. I use CDBurner XP for the burner part and dvd audiofile for the authoring part.

It has been a few years and the original download site does not seem to be up anymore. The Mac version is available on CNET but not the Window's version.

I just created a DVD-Audio disc using this method -- fast simple and easy.

Since I could no longer get Sony's Audio DVD Architect to work I have been using Audio DVD Solo 4.4 and it works great on my Win 7 machine/a great buy at $40. I'm sure that there was some Windows 7 update that changed some parameter that stopped Sony DVD Architect from working that even Sony could not figure out at the time. They were most helpful, but have other irons in the fire at the moment.

If you are interested I hope it works fine for you as well. For me, once I could burn 2496 files it was hard to go back to redbook unless I had to.

Lplex does the same (up to 24/96) and it is free software. Also Md5 tags will be embedded in the dvd for future reference.
