Did a search here, & elsewhere....

Didn't see any place that sells their "LAN" cable in lengths other than .5 or 1.0 meter. Has anyone a source for these cables in longer lengths?

(I would be most grateful for restraint in any comments having to do with SQ, or value in "higher end" LAN cables).

TIA,

with good results between my dual PC main server. Its shielded and that helped a bit with noise. Good luck and please post your results despite all the trolls that seem to pop up ever time the word "cable" is in a thread.

By "LAN cable" you mean "Ethernet cable," right? , posted on August 18, 2014 at 22:36:12
I can't tell the length of the cable Amazon is selling, but for $255 I'd expect a lot more than 1 meter of the stuff. For $255 even 100 meters would be pretty pricey.

Heck, for less than $15 Monoprice will sell you 100 foot lengths of perfectly good, terminated, booted, Cat6 cable, in your choice of 9 colors.

I bet it sounds just fine, too.

It looks like Acoustic Revive may have built a huge lot of 1.0 meter ones, even though their site says that they will custom build cables in lengths + 10CM.

Likely I'll give up & just try an AQ Vodka.

Thanks again,

Cheers,

This seems to be the only other length currently available beside 0.5M and 1.0M at the moment on Amazon. E-bay has 2.0M, 2.5M and 3.0M. The fact that Acoustic Revive doesn't have a North American distributor isn't helping either.

What length are you looking for?

IMHO, they are excellent but I've only compared them to stock and AQ Forest (a CAT 7 cable) so my experience level is minimal. That having been said I'm not looking any further.

What kind of noise?

You're welcome. If you do decide to try the Acoustic Revive, you might need to check out a European dealer or just keep watching Amazon/Amazon Japan/E-bay.

I use a 1M LAN-PA going from my Olive O3HD to my Xfinity Gateway and a 1.5M LAN-PA going from the Gateway to the Oppo 105D. Both are used simultaneously when the Oppo is reading files from the Olive and the Oppo cable solo when watching Netflix or reading PC-based files that stream wirelessly to the Gateway and then via the LAN-PA to the Oppo.

Not to muddy the waters further, but I've found that the Acoustic Revive RLI-1 isolator improves things even more.

The few times when I was visiting Japan, I have never seen their cables (LAN or otherwise) available in lengths other than their "regular" ones on retail. On their website, it says something like other lengths on demand, so I guess you need to order them. I haven't gone for their LAN cable or other expensive LAN cables (I'm using Elecom's CAT7), but I am using its LAN isolator, which did seem to make a difference. My thought is that since my SBT can actually play for quite a few seconds after the LAN cable has been unplugged, noise isolation is probably more important than what a nice cable can do. I do love their power cables, the ground tweak thing and their RR-77 though.

Cheers.

Yeah,

AFA "special" orders in longer lengths in 10cm increments: I saw that on their site, where one cannot purchase anything.

Doesn't appear as though any of their dealers that I've found have anything but 1 meter, (and now) 3 meter. But, - this is all good. Nothing to attach any drama to, - just was curious as changes are upcoming in a while....

and they still charge for shipping? If you ever track down the 6 meter cable please let us know what you paid for it! Heck, I wonder just what the duty on something like that would be!

I get the impression you're going to be holding off for now but should you decide to do something in the future and if it should be Acoustic Revive, they now have a US distributor:

$12 less, to be exact - meaning, I would do it for $400.

Get a grip!

You really, really need to talk to someone about these issues of yours.

Edit: By the way, may I refer you to 18 U.S.C. 875(c):

Just to chop both of your hands off, to make you stop typing your clueless, tired, offensive, retarded nonsense.

Oh, and would have to take the tongue, too - in case you're thinking about using voice recognition software. After the surgery, worst-case scenario, we would only be subjected to something like "Ooooo.... Aaaaa.... Mmmmmmmmm.....Mmmmmmmmmmm....Mmmmmmmmmm" - which is WAY more positive contribution, than the shit you're excreting now.
