Well, call it what you will.. but it was done without any prior notice to me. I might add, over the weekend.. a time which it was nearly impossible to get the domain promptly re-hosted.

We're currently in the process of securing new hosting.. local, of course. I'm pretty confident that the site will be restored by week's end. DNS propagation may take a while longer, so when it comes back online, some of you will begin seeing it before others are able to.

See you there soon,
Bill

Let's be clear about this: Mark Gilmore pulled down the Atma-Sphere web site. As Bill notes, he pulled it down over the weekend, without any notice, and at a time that made it the most difficult to get the web site back on line again. When I spoke to Ralph, he was not sure he would even get the files to be able to restore the site on a new server. I spent time yesterday pulling pages from cache to send to Ralph so he'd at least have the text of the pages from the web site to use in trying to restore the site.

I'm tired of hearing people make apologies for Mark Gilmore and telling us "what a nice guy he is." This is the worst example of unadulterated petty vindictiveness that I've ever witnessed. It more than amply illustrates why I believe Mark Gilmore does not merit the support of anyone in the high-end community for any venture in which he may chose to engage.

If Glacier/Gilmore is the distributor for Atma-sphere, how can you support Ralph without supporting the distributor?

Glacier Audio is no longer a distributor of Atma-Sphere products, as of around 7:00 pm Friday. Per Harry Blazer.
