 The great American diva, Leontyne Price, turns 90 today. I've been a devoted fan for many years now, and have had the pleasure of attending several of her performances at SFO. The "spin" on her floated high notes will never be equalled. Listen to this aria and melt....

 Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 is one of her best recordings. I have heard all of the others, and nobody came close, IMO.
