Henry-Louis de La Grange, whose massive, detailed tomes documented the life and music of Mahler, has passed. Although I've tired of Mahler, one cannot but admire the devotion of La Grange, who spent his entire career researching Mahler. NY Times Obit "Life without music is a mistake" (Nietzsche)
