Yes! Can't agree more. What spirited playing and excellent recording as well. nt, posted on February 4, 2017 at 19:02:33

Symphony Hall

No better venue for large forces, especially orchestra and chorus except maybe the Concertegebouw.

The Philharmonie in Berlin ain't all that bad.

Sound is unbelievable, even up in the cheap seats where Ivan can afford to be.

All Berliners have to do is buy a ticket?

I like the flying sound panels. You should post the pic on Tweakers Asylum; they'll tell you if they're facing in the right direction.

...they played a terrific Bach B Minor Mass, Nelsons conducting.

They sound good on Harbinson Symphonies/Levine Download. nt, posted on February 6, 2017 at 08:13:20

There are 6 symphonies by Harbison with Levine/BSO on QOBUZ..

Which one do you recommend for 'beginners'?

I got 1&2.
I guess it's kind of Neo-Romantic, long phrases, Tonal, but expanded, features all sections, and even all Wind Players in one place.
I like Dutilleux more, but I like it.
