Due to Mr. Marx's pursuasive influence, I'd buying the Stanford Stabat Mater. The only problem's that it seems to only be available on red book cd, even tho Chandos's website indicates that it's a 24/96 recording from 1995. It's not available as an HD download from HD Tracks, and I haven't been able to find an SACD, or DVD-A release of it. Here's my question: for a company that positions itself as providing advanced digital sound, why don;t they make hi rez downloads of their catalog available, or produce hi rez discs, such as SACD's or DVD-A? They got tons of titles I'd love to buy if I could get them in hi rez. I'm going to buy the red booky Stanford, but it'd much better to have a hi rez copy. Also, John Marx is dangerously pursuasive, and may use some form of hypnosis [and/or logic]. Severius! Supremus Invictus |
