As a matter of interest, I compared it to the 180g Parlophone reissue made in the EU and can say that each sounds quite acceptable. The 180g LP sounds quite musical and uniform without emphasizing any part of the frequency spectre, while the Japanese 1976 issue is closer to the original sound.

It sounds uniform from top to bottom, and it is very silent. The Japanese issue has more prominent highs, sounds somewhat thinner but when I listen to it, I feel more involved in the music...

I thought the OP was asking about the date of manufacture of a Japanese reissue, not the original release date. If it has an Apple label, the date of manufacture clearly wasn't 1966; Apple wasn't founded until 1968.
