I wonder if this is an example of feminist revisionism / 'snagism' gone too far. ? Sensitive New Age Guy, Metrasexual, male feminist.

This is just plain silly.

Winsome Evans is a serious HIP musician, and a great entertainer.

Unfortunately, there are many folks who are SO into "identity politics" that they will jump at any chance, no matter how crazy or ill advised, to claim further, dishonest credit for their tribe. (This apparently includes the majority of members comprising the New York Festival's World's Best TV and Film Awards. And what a scandal that even the BBC wasted money and other resources trying to legitimize this lazy and attention-seeking pseudo-scholarship. Unfortunately, academia, especially the arts, is full of people who operate this way.) I had never heard of Winsome Evans before, but she certainly sounds full of good sense in refuting this preposterous claim - she certainly has the facts on her side!
