. . . does anyone know what's happened with tinear? He doesn't seem to have posted since January 29. And when someone with over 57,000 posts hasn't posted in three weeks, you begin to wonder what's up. (Even though he and I often butted heads on many topics - I guess I'm no different from a lot of other folks here in this respect however. LOL!) Anyway, did he get an enforced vacation or time out or something?

I hope nothing has happened to him. By the way, not that anyone noticed :-D but my long absence was due to a job in China. I start on my trip back to China in just a few minutes. So again, I will be absent.

It's just that most of us will take a breather from posting every now and then, but when you've already got over 57,000 posts (as tin does), you have to stay on the treadmill!

BTW, that certainly sounds interesting to be working in China - does this have anything to do with Yuja?

I didn't feel slighted in the least.

Nope, nothing to do with Yuja. Doing a movie. I will be seeing Yuja March 22 and 23 up in your neighborhood though.

This was posted on rec.music.classical.recordings on Monday, February 16:

"Those who regularly visit "The Music Parlour" will know that "Tin Ear" has had a major stroke, leaving him (let us hope not permanently) paralysed on one side."

I saw that too, but is that the same guy though? [nt}, posted on February 19, 2015 at 12:00:07

Tinear's tin has oxidized, so he's getting a overhaul. New tin will make him just as tinny as he used to be.
