This is not meant to be a critique, but I was wondering if you like any current jazz musicians and if so, who are they? No malice intended here, I was just wondering. You may like a guy like Harry Allen.

I do like some current jazz musicians. Harry Allen, Howard Alden, Aaron
Diehl, Trombone Shorty, Danny Armstrong (boy, howdy, do I like this guy),
Madeline Peyroux to name just a very few.

OK. I would have suspected Allen, Alden and Shorty. Some Ari Ambrose might be at the edges of your taste. I don't know of a lot of guys playing in that old style and I was wondering if there was someone I had not heard of. I don't know Danny Armstrong but I will look into him. Probably not my cup of tea but I like to support and to be as knowledgeable about the art form as possible. Thanks for responding.

Peyroux is fine stuff, posted on January 27, 2015 at 17:21:27

As you like her, check out Billie's disc Body and Soul. Harry lays down some nice licks on that killer album.
