Just discovered some of his music that is new to me: Music for oboe and piano.

One of my sealed LPs from a small trove of about twenty-five that, for some nutty reason, I put off opening.

Heinz Holliger and Alfred Brendel on Philips (9500 740).

I still marvel at the quality pressings they produced back in those days in the Netherlands.

The last place around here that still has a few sealed LPs left has a box set of Spanish piano works performed by Alicia de Larrocha.

I guess I should pick it up next time I am in town if it is still available right?

Thanks!

Of course!

Amoeba here in San Francisco has little left that amuses me plus everywhere else in the area is selling overprice crap. Dollar bin candidates for $10 and up.

Were I still in Utah, Randy's Records in Salt Lake City would still be getting half my monthly income. =:-0

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass

Stop reading this and speed to acquire those de Larrocha's. I saw her twice in concert and she was magical. nt, posted on December 20, 2014 at 10:50:48
