On this model are the mid and bass drivers separable or are their conductors glued to the same sheet of mylar?

From the photo I have attached, the mid and bass appear to be one unit...

????

Thanks!

there is a separator for about half the length of the woofer. This would also tune the mylar.

Thanks. So the mid is not a separate driver that can be removed- the mid and bass are on the same myler....

and can be removed from the mdf speaker. Both coils on the same sheet of mylar which is tensioned in the metal frame

It's not technically a metal frame in my opinion. The mylar is stretched over a ~1/4" thick mdf frame and thin steel strips are glued to all 8 sides of the mdf. At least that's how my 3.6s are constructed.

Correct!

Therefore, intermodulation distortion occurs - same as all the 2-ways except the 2.5 & 2.6, and the 3-ways except the Tymps, possibly the 20.Xs ... and the 30.1s. :-(
