Hi,

Right now I'm trying a Jamo S808 sub to fill in some mid bass with a pair of MC1's.
I don't want or need low end simply because I'm in an apartment.

What is the lowest price sub that you think is fast enough to keep up with the MC1's?
Should the sub always be acoustic suspension and not ported to keep up with Maggies?

This is for 2 channel only. I use the optical out into my Denon when watching TV shows/movies.

Rythmic and SVS both have sealed subs around $550 - $650. Most folks like em.

I use a REL T/5 with my MMG-W's in the living room... and two of them in my main system supporting some modded MMG's. Quick; they mate well with smaller Maggies.

So there's that option.

But maybe a T/zero would be a better choice given the domestic situation?

I was looking at the T zero. Looks great but ouch! Lowest price is still heck of a lot.
Maybe some day. I will settle with the budget Jamo.

REL quality is so good that you may want to consider the used market. That's how I bought one of the subs I currently own.

I will keep eye for used one.

The budget Jamo seems good enough for now. I like the MC1's flanking my tv. Sound is sweet.
