A rave review came out today written by Chris Martens @ HiFi+, a British outlet that seems to be a sister publication to the Absolute Sound. One quote:

"Stated simply, Magnepan's LRS is the most expressive, revealing, resolving, sharply focussed, and well-balanced loudspeaker at or anywhere near its price that I have ever heard."

and I absolutely love them. I actually think Magnepan screwed up by making
these things so good - I think they will steal sales from more expensive
parts of the line.

I have 9 Maggies in my 7.1.4 room from 3.7 down to MMGW, but I ordered a pair of LRSs in late February because for the price and all the rave reviews I just want to hear them. So with luck, sometime in July.

I'll use them in the bedroom a while. And depending how much we listen up there I might try doing tri-center with them and my CC5.

I have had mine for about a year as well. They are in permanent rotation with my ProAcs. Love the LRS presentation and with a well integrated sub a crazy good full range system value assuming you have a suitable amp. I had original SMGa a long time ago, and in home auditioned MMGs (returned) - the LRS is in another league.

If aging of the panel wasn't an issue.

Maybe I could store them in a nitrogen-filled case? Temperature controlled?

I've owned my Magneplanar MGI Imp for 41 years, MMG's for 16 years and 1.7's for 8 years. All functioning just fine and in daily use. What is this aging of the panel issue you are talking about?
