I thought Lirpa was out of business. Great to see them back. I always looked forward to the April issue of Audio Magazine for the next great Lirpa innovation. But with the demise of Audio mag there's been little or no Lirpa news. Can't wait until next April for more news.

I have had Lirpa's Solid State Tube amps for years. The one where they filled some EL-34's with silicon. Except at Lirpa, they mistook silicone for silicon, and filled the EL-34's with caulk.

Nonetheless, these amps work just as well today as the day they were built. Which is to say, not at all- but they DO therefore have an infinitely low noise figure, and the lowest distortion possible. All for a price of only 400 Quatloos.

Sorry to learn yours don't work!
My Lirpa amp is going strong. I get infinite dynamic range even from the most compressed music. Lirpa had conservatively rated the amp 1w RMS both channels driven, really it is 1000000w RMS! Dr. Lirpa's explained, zeros have no value so he left them out! ;))

I was looking into their battery operated Kilowatt Monos for my power hungry panels.

But the FUMES from the recharge are not my cup of Hemlock.....

When I looked? Pricing was in Monopoly Money.....
