I have been looking at the Mini DSP PWR DSP-2 plate amp, and contemplating its use as a bass amp for my T 1-D bass panels in an active crossover environment. I especially like the no noise aspect, and also suspect the power would be sufficient as far as wattage goes. I recently purchased the Mini DSP 2x4 just to get familiar with the technology/environment etc, and was contemplating trying the Ambiophonic plug-in as well. Would love to hear about any experience with that also. My first thought is that it is probably not appropriate for Maggies, but I would love to hear from anyone who has tried it.

I can't say anything significant on the Ambiosonic processor. I can only say that the QOL device that was widely reviewed as having minimal negatives and its AD DA loop being transparent. In audition,it did more damage to the signal than I could tolerate.- the same kind you get from mediocre DACs. In my own DAC the AD DA loop leaves you with the distinct sonic signature of the DAC, which is very good sounding and retains much detail, but is very obviously not what came in. In the case of the QOL device it was not possible to pay attention to the kind of effect it was introducing in its processing since it was overshadowed by artifacts of its lesser DACs.

I have no idea how their plate amps perform.
