I'm curious to know if the QR tweeter foil delaminates less than, not at all, or about the same as the wire mid base panels of 1.6s and lower. In my mind at least, it would make sense that the foil adheres better with the increased and flat surface area. If the foil tends to delaminates less or not at all, for me it makes a point in favor of upgrading to 1.7s or .7s when they become available, since they are entirely QR.

The only case of QR delamination I ever saw was in a set of MMG brought by someone to Naples, FL from Arizona. He offered them on Craigslist soon after he got here, saying that they needed fixing. I drove many miles to find the poor abused things too far gone. There were holes on the Mylar and on the cloth, most of the glue seemed to have vanished. Sections of the QR tweeters had lifted. I left them there. Even for 50 bucks they were not worth the trouble.

Otherwise, it looks like it is VERY uncommon to find this.

Which, for an amusing second or two makes me wonder if this was really Magnepan's solution to delamination rather than a real SQ advantage. But that's just me being wantonly cynic on a Friday evening, LOL!
