I've been asked off-line about my impressions of the Magtech amp & Mye stands by curious fellow Audiophiles on the boards. I'm taking as much time as possible to assess what I'm hearing, not because those initial impressions are less than favorable, but rather to make sure I can put into proper perspective everything I'm hearing and where things may require minor tweaks. Right off the bat, most everything has improved as the system gets dialed in.

More later.

Cheers,
AuPh

Why is it that those who already hear(d) the Magtech are signing up first?

Meanwhile, Mark, how's the "i" set coming along so far?

From where I am sitting the "i" upgrade is well worth the $500 with no shipping...IMHO...

They play substantially bigger, first time I thought they "MIGHT" be too big for my room...the coherence improved, if that is possible, they sound like a single driver, even more...

Detail and imaging got more defined in the soundstage...

Overall a really nice improvement...

Just added my subs back in, (a pair of Monitor Audio FB210's, 1 active front firing 10", one down firing 10" passive radiator along with front being ported)...with some interesting results...they are barely turned on to blend in...they bloat with any increased volume to the subs...x-over is just below 60 kHz...

6'o-clock is zero volume, I am just past 7'o-clock for the volume level...

More listening required...along with some fine tuning...
Thanks Jben...
