Hi Mike,

It always seems like I start investigating your new stuff when I have some of your other iron already on order.

Right now I'm working on my Paramours with your iron for bass boxes and Paraglow II's for my lowther front horns, which handle everything above 150 Hz. I'm looking to go all out on the next design, so I don't want to step down in performance.

That said, my new long term project consists of four parafeed GM70 amps: two for each channel like the biamp design above.

I see people using 5.4K, 7K, even 10K OPT's for GM70's, seemingly trading off between power and low distortion. I am looking for low distortion. So I won't be running over 15 watts max, and probably not even that.

Would your RH-PF be a good application for this, both for below 150 Hz and above? IOW, would four of these babies work in this application? As you can see, I'm not very technically knowledgable on this, and I can't even figure out whether 5K or 10K gives the low distortion.

It just seemed like such a great deal for a high end setup if it would work.

Hi Len:

I just don't know the GM70 well enough to provide any practical or theoretic insight into how one might best deploy this critter. You might want to alternately post on say the DIY board or contact Jim Dowdy who has some experience with this tube.
