I was pleased to hear (see?) of your 'robin hood' series of lower cost SE transformers. Any chance of introducing a similar push pull series (5k - 6K, for PP 300Bs)? The 'Maiden Mary' series, perhaps ...

Hi Mikeyb:

The "Maiden Mary" series... I like the name...

yes... I very much want to have an euivalent sort of entry level series of PP outputs...

first out of the gate will most likely be an 8K 15watt PP critter for EL84's (due to the interest in the ultra-compact amp) and the second likely candidate is a 20 watt 5K PP as you suggest.

We just built up three pair of the 8K guys... I have to somehow figure out how to get up some photos of them for you guys/gals to see...

we're plugging away... but... it takes time to develop these...

hope to have some more concrete news in the next four weeks or so for you.

Mike

Glad to hear it! I just built a PP EL34 stero amp for my son, using Hammonds. I'll bet what you have come up with will sound better!

Maid Marion - that sound's right. Close ...
