I have a pair in cobalt I bought way back when I built my paraglow 45 amps. I'm now using 16 ohm Zu Soul Superfly speakers, and probably won't be changing them out anytime soon. Is it possible to have these cobalt lams re-wound for the 16 ohms?

It would be much, much more expensive to do a quote rewind as opposed to just building new transformers.

You would be paying to tear down the trans and then paying for a new winding.

Also your not going to get the lambs apart without hurting them. High perm materials are very sensitive and critical in terms of mechanical stresses. Bend or distort a lamination and it should go in the trash can. And remember that the lambs are "glued together" via varnishing or waxing.

It is not economic nor practical from a performance point of view to rewind transformers.

Thanks Mike, just thought it might be a possibility. I'll hang on to these for some future 8 ohm speakers....

Payment sent for EXO-46s, so I'll be covered. I do want to hear the cobalt difference at some point though; might swap them into my existing paraglows....
