Hello

I have a Yamaha MC-1 cartridge (Output: 0.2mV Impedance: 30 ohms), and a Leben RS-30EQ phono preamp (23,5dB). Is the LL1941 transformer a good choice (using 16 gain)? It will rise the output voltage to 3.2mV and it will load the cartridge with 184Ohm. Or perhaps use a LL1931 transformer.

Thank you, regards
Alberto

I spoke with Kevin earlier and mentioned your post. He's been unable to log in to the forum for technical reasons but answers that It looks like a reasonable choice, though without knowing the rest of your gain chain and speaker sensitivity it's probably best to confirm with him through email.

Have you enjoyed your MC-1? Been thinking about having one rebuilt by VAS.
