Hello!
Can I use your CCS to replace the DN2540 for this circuit?

Thanks!

The current source shown in the schematic is the same as that I sell under the name of Cascode Current Source Kit. You will need a heat sink kit to add to this. The devices used in the kit (IXTP08N100D2) are more transparent sounding than the DN2540.

Dear Kevin,
Thanks for the advice!!

I have a question on my friend behalf.

Here is the stock circuit of Sonic Frontiers SFL-2, and I will post another 2 pictures that marked CCS for your Cascode Current Source Kit. Which one do you prefer? or you prefer both of them.

I am curious the possibility to replace those 422r resistors with your compact ccs?

The voltage across the 422R resistors is probably too low for the compact cascode CCS to work properly. I would need to be 20-25VDC.

From a sonic standpoint the biggest improvement would be in replacing the plate resistors for LV2A and LV2B. However, the cascode CCS will work in both locations.

I know people owns this preamp but hate the sound of vishay resistor for the position, but good sounding resistor olike tantalum only available in 430R. This is the reason i want to suggest trying your ccs.
